Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Bromley CPA Inc. (“Bromley CPA,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and how you can contact us about it. It applies to bcocpa.ca and does not cover the separate engagement terms that govern our accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or advisory work for existing clients.
What we collect
Through this website, we collect information you provide directly, including:
- Your name, business name, business email, website, location, and business details (revenue range, employee count, software used, and similar) when you submit the “Tell Us What You Need” form.
- Your name, email, company, and message when you use the “Send a Message” drawer.
- Your mobile number, but only if you choose text as your preferred response method and separately consent to it.
We also collect limited technical information automatically — such as the page you submitted a form from and the approximate time of submission — to help us prioritize enquiries and detect abuse of our forms. We use privacy-friendly website analytics that does not use cookies or track you across other websites.
Why we collect it
We use the information you provide to:
- respond to your enquiry and assess whether our services are a fit for your business;
- operate, secure, and improve this website;
- send you the specific resource, reply, or reference you requested; and
- send you occasional marketing communications, but only if you separately and proactively opt in to receive them.
Submitting a form is your consent for us to use your information for the purpose you submitted it for — for example, reviewing and responding to a service enquiry. Marketing consent is always separate, is never a condition of getting a response or a requested resource, and can be withdrawn at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We do share it with a small number of service providers who help us operate this website and respond to you, including our email delivery provider, our bot-protection provider (Cloudflare Turnstile), our hosting provider, and — for internal record-keeping only — a private Google spreadsheet accessible only to our team. These providers may process or store information on servers located outside Canada (including the United States); where that is the case, we choose providers that maintain security and privacy safeguards appropriate to the information involved.
We may also disclose personal information if required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we collect through this website, including encrypted transmission and access limited to our team. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we do not use client information submitted through this site to train public AI models.
How long we keep it
We keep website enquiry and message information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and, where a business relationship results, as part of our client records under our normal professional record-keeping obligations. If you do not become a client, we periodically remove enquiry information we no longer have a reason to keep.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request that we correct inaccurate information, or ask us to delete information we are not otherwise required to keep. To make a request, use the “Send a Message” button on this site or contact our privacy officer below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you may contact British Columbia's Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (oipc.bc.ca).
Children
This website and our services are directed at businesses, not children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. We will update the “last updated” date above when we do.
